Pros: Thin, sound, rechargable batteries, Good FM reception, features, anti-skip, MORE!
Cons: Lose the remote... uh oh! Very basic function only on main unit. Minor gripes.
The Bottom Line: Have another CD-MP3 player... shame on you, the king of CD-MP3 players is sitting in front of you now. Sell your old one and buy this NOW!
Review: Slobber...
That's likely the first reaction you'll have when you see the Slim-X from iRiver. Looking at my RioVolt (the current SP100 model) and my brother's TDK Mojo, the Slim-X already looked much cooler than those two. My oh my... how the... |

Pros: Thin, rechargeable batteries, FM radio, good value, excellent remote, doesn't skip
Cons: no LCD on main unit
The Bottom Line: Excellent mp3 player is essentially a thin Sonic Blue Rio Volt SP-250.
Review: Introduction
I first read about the iRiver SlimX on cnet.com. I was looking for something to replace my Apple iPod (I liked it, but the software I had to install crashed my computer) and I saw that the SlimX was a cnet "editor's... |

Pros: Packed with features, Thin & Beautiful, Electronic perfection
Cons: Cheap earbuds & case (You don't care & you know it!)
The Bottom Line: No function or feature was spared in this sleek musical bombshell. Treat yourself & bring your music collection to life.
Review: ~~ Intro ~~ I've never really loved any of my past CD players...but this thin piece of technology has won my heart & changed the way I listen to music. Complete with an intuitive electroluminescent backlit remote, this super-portable ...

Pros: Compact, lots of features, well engineered, well made.
Cons: None
The Bottom Line: Great sound quality, slim size, inexpensive media, moderate price, tons of features, well engineered and constructed. Read the manual!
Review: I have finally decided to retire the poorly engineered and made D-Link roq-it MP3 jukebox. This piece of junk could not keep playing music even when I was hiking.
The replacement selection was not easy, I had to select from a variety of hard... |

Pros: Great Design, CD/MP3 Windows Media player, skip control, light weight, battery life, much more!
Cons: Cheap lid, CD controls, ear phones.
The Bottom Line: I am thoroughly pleased by this CD player (and that's no easy task) and I believe it was worth every penny.
Review: I am no portable CD player novice, and I was very picky about what I wanted when I was looking for my new portable CD player. Each time I thought I found what I wanted, it turned out to be missing something. I wanted CD/MP3 capability, CD-RW readability,...

Pros: Slim, light, incredible remote, great sound, rechargeable batteries
Cons: None that I know of
The Bottom Line: The best mp3 CD player on the market. You can't go wrong with this player.
Review: After reading all the highly rated reviews here and on cnet.com, I couldn't resist, and I went out and bought the iRiver SlimX. Everything about this player is great. Its design, interface, size, EVERYTHING is well thought out and works perfectly....

Pros: Remote very useful and LCD is backlit.
Remote has many options.
Slim unit.
Rechargeable batteries.
Cons: Headphones inlcuded are not very good.
Sound quality could be better.
The Bottom Line: A great buy; I'd definately recommend this to anyone. The only thing I'd give higher marks is the next model up, the imp 400.
Review: One day I was looking through my collection of mp3s and I thought, wow I really need a mp3 player of some sort. I have always liked the MP3/CD player concept, so I looked into those. At one point, I stumbled across the CD player I am going to review...

Pros: excellent remote, thin design, rechargeable batteries, many more
Cons: price, doesn't come with a car kit, kinda low quality ear phones
The Bottom Line: If one is willing to shell out 170 dollars for an mp3/cd player, than the iriver slimx is definitely the best way to go, no doubt, best value out there.
Review: This is by far the best mp3/cd player one could get and I don't think anyone looking for an mp3/cd player should second guess their decision to get an iriver slimx, except maybe if the price tag is a little high for them, I got mine for 170 which is a...

Pros: reads MP3, WMA, and m3u; lightweight, great remote w/LCD; firmware upgradeable
Cons: nearly none
The Bottom Line: Great features, firmware upgrade means it can change over time, great LCD remote with every possible function, great sound quality.
Review: If you are looking for an MP3 CD player, this is probably your best bet now that the price has come down. The SlimX is incredibly lightweight, and I love the remote LCD with all the buttons that let you navigate, change mode, volume +/-, and so on....

Pros: Does everything AS ADVERTISED, without fail. And it's firmware upgradeable!
Cons: The window of my remote got scratched, which was my fault. Otherwise, flawless.
The Bottom Line: Has all the features of the competitors, and does them better. Then, it throws in a truckload of other features, and does those well too. Great sound, great player!!
Review: I've owned my SlimX iMP-350 for over a month, and I couldn't be happier with the purchase. I rarely splurge on toys that I'm not sure I'll use often enough, but since owning this little gem, I'm listening to music all the time. In fact, I take it...
