Pros:  Good sound and graphics. Highly addicting.

Cons:  Registration process is flawed for downloaded game.

The Bottom Line:  Buy this in the store if you can. Otherwise, be prepared to contact support to register the download.

Zuma Deluxe is one of many in Pop Games' lineup of puzzle games. The object of the game is to complete the level and proceed to the next. To complete the level you must destroy all of the colored balls by shooting groups of the same color with the ball that is loaded into your frog's mouth.

The setup is simple. You have a frog that swivels around on the screen. His location varies from level to level. He has a colored ball loaded in his mouth which you fire at the chain of balls snaking their way around the screen. A dot on his back shows you the next color that is coming. You create a group of 3 or more to make the balls disappear. (This is a common theme amongst Pop Games puzzles. It's the delivery that is different in every game.) The balls keep coming until you earn enough points to move to the next level. Once that happens, no more balls come out but you still have to clear the screen of the remaining balls.

Sounds boring right? What keeps me coming back is the pace at which you must play. This is not a puzzle you can just sit back and figure out, the balls are moving at a decent pace and become increasingly harder to clear the further you get. If you like Bejeweled, you love Zuma.

Cons: The main problem I have with this program is the registration process. According to the instructions, you are supposed to be able to click on "Register" after you buy the program and it will go online and get your registration number. However, it doesn't work that way, I tried it and it kept giving me a license error. Contacting Pop Games support over a holiday weekend is not fun either. They had to send me an unlock code and a new URL to go to in order to receive my registration number. Once I had the number, everything worked perfectly. I would recommend looking for it at a store such as Wal-Mart. I was able to find it there for half the cost of downloading it. (Too bad I had already download my copy).

All in all, I would say this game is well worth the price paid. It's a simple game that will keep you coming back for more.
