Outstanding Sound Quality

This is the finest sounding Receiver I have ever had the pleasure to own. I hooked it up to disparate speakers and input components from previous sound systems and with the YPAO functionality, it optimized the sound to conform to the room size and speaker capabilities and it sounds phenomenal. My previous system was a 8 year old top of the line Marantz which I thought was awesome but this 5890 blows it away. Based on my brief experience with this system and the way it is handling these disparate components, I ordered a modest set of speakers, JBL 3007, to further enhance my listening pleasure and can hardly wait to get a modern SACD and DVD players. I hope the neighbors agree, the system sounds as miraculous from inside their homes as it does mine cause it can get real loud (with no distortion at all). I highly recommend this system to the novice and enthusiast.
