Excellent receiver

Bought this receiver on June 1st 2005. I had budget of $500 for 7.1 receiver and paid $528 from electronics-expo.com.

The sound quality of this receiver is phenomenal. It has many preset modes and decodes all the latest versions of encoding.

Its YPAO technology is extremely useful in calibrating the crossovers. I have Boston Acoustics VR speakers, and using its YPAO calibration method gave me the best performance.

It has ample digital input sources, plus provides zone2 and zone3 outs for various rooms. Also it supports simulated 7.1 thus if your DVD is 5.1 and want to hear 7.1, you can with this receiver.

I would definitely recommend this receiver, looked at Denon 3805, HK AR635, Sony 5000ES, Yamaha RX2500 - found this best for the money.
