This grill out does an oven in some instances. I have found that even cooking a turkey is a breeze. You don't have to set a timer or anything like that. Just watch the time and away you go.
I have had this grill for a few years. I kind of stumbled into using this type of grill. It was a Thanksgiving day a few years back when my oven went on the blink. I tried to go out and buy one but no one would deliver the same or even had one in stock that I could take with. Did you ever go shopping on Thanksgiving day? Well, let me tell you that as I soon found out everything closes for Thanksgiving. There was nothing open, I did not know what I was going to do.
That is when my neighbor gave me his grill. He said it was possible to cook a turkey on it. I have never done this before, but what was I going to do? I was in a situation where I had to do something about cooking dinner for the family. I had already started to cook the turkey when this happen.
Well, when we got the grill to the house it was easy to set up. Just put the legs in the holes and make sure the ash catcher is in place. This is a great addition to this grill, so that when the ashes start to pile up all you have to do is slide the lever back and forth and the ashes fall through holes and this plate catches all the dirt.
This grill has a particular wide body and will hold a 24 pound turkey with ease. I put it in a foil pan and put foil on top, just like in an oven. I could not believe what happen next. That turkey was done in half the time. When I opened it up I was very surprised at the condition of the turkey. This had to be the most tender turkey that I have ever tasted. The juices were flowing as I cut into the bird, and the skin was a golden brown.
I have been using this grill every time that I have to cook a turkey. My kids will not eat it any other way. For some weird reason the bird tastes better. I was worried about getting a charcoal taste on the food but, this did not happen.
The inside of this grill is coated with something so the clean up is very easy. I have left this outside everyday in the winter and summer and it has yet to rust out. It comes on three legs, with two of them on wheels. The only problem that I have noticed is that when you move the grill you have to be careful that you don't lift up cause the legs will drop out of the holders. So to solve this problem I screwed the legs in place so this would not happen.
I did go out and price one just to see how much one would have cost me if I would have to buy one. And I found out that it is not very cheap just reasonable, it was $49.99 on sale. But remember that was on sale, you can't always find this on sale. But if people knew the versatile use of this grill, I know that a lot more of these would be in use.
The warranty of this product is not out of the ordinary, you still can get parts pretty easily. And the company has been in business for quite a few years, so you don't have to worry about the company going out of business. I found out that all you have to do is call the number that comes with it, and they will ship you what ever you need.
They value the product that you buy and want to keep you happy as a customer. It is made up of a fine steel and has not even dented very much when you accidently knock it over. The paint on the outside doesn't even burn off from all the years of use from the heat. I would highly recommend this grill to the family that don't mind spending a little money for a good product. This will last you for quite a few years and you should not have to buy another one.
