by  gaelkm,  Oct 16, 2005
Pros: Easy to use, great design.

The Bottom Line: You just can't go wrong with a WEBER, a trusted name in charcoal grills.
Review: What is it about Weber barbecue grills? I grew up with a Weber because my parents had one from the time we were kids. Grilling used to be more of a man job. Back when we were kids, my Dad did the grilling and Mom never touched it. Rain or snow or ...

Cons: Small for some cuts, not quite as versatile as the 22.5" model.
The Bottom Line: The Bottom Line thinks gas tanks are for blowing up, not cooking with.

Pros: Can be used for grilling or smoking. Temperature control is excellent.
Cons: Legs fall out when lifted. Must overturn to empty. Little cooking area when smoking.
The Bottom Line: An excellent starter grill. Great for direct cooking, also works better than some dedicated smokers for slow cooking.
Review: I actually got my Weber 18" Kettle free from Freecycle. Its previous owners had purchased a gas grill and decided they no longer needed their charcoal grill. Their loss is my gain. A gas grill can be very convenient, but I just don't think you can ...
