Epinions Dinner Is Served

by  sirvaysa,  Oct 24, 2004
Pros: Quality, looks, Weber reputation, efficiency, features, price.
Cons: Discoloration of lid handle due to proximity to vent. Not a major factor though.
The Bottom Line: Buy this grill and you will be your family's hero as well as a confirmed Master Patio Chef !!
Review: I LOVE this grill. I've cooked on everything from a Boy Scout coffee-can grill using sterno heat to a fancy Thermos brand electric one. Oh, and all the gas grills in between. I've come "home" to basics by choosing the Weber One-Touch Platinum 22.5" ...

Epinions Couldn't ask for much more

by  fire76,  Aug 8, 2004
Pros: Solid build, easy assembly, great performance
Cons: They could always make a bigger one:), otherwise nothing
The Bottom Line: How could I not recommend this grill. It has the Weber reputation!
Review: I originally owned a silver 18 1/2" silver Weber. It worked well, and was well built. But my love for cooking out found it to be too small sometimes. So I went to go look for a 22 1/2" model. Looking around Home Depot, I stumbled upon the Platinum. I was ...

Epinions Best Traditional Charcoal Grill Available

by  dsquierj,  Jun 14, 2004
Pros: Convenience, ease of use, quality of cooking, long-term durability, reputation
Cons: High initial cost.
The Bottom Line: If you love to grill and like a barbeque of the highest quality that cooks food properly, than this grill is worth it.
Review: First of all, I'm a barbecue fanatic. I grew up with a Weber grill, and my dad still has his yellow 22.5" Weber from 1973. He's used it on average 2x a week for 30 years, or over 3,000 barbecues. So I am definitely biased towards Weber. Several years ...

Epinions Great No-Frills Grill

by  nathan44,  Jun 9, 2005
Pros: easy to clean cooks great
Cons: no cupholder?
Review: This grill was a present from my father-in-law. We've had it for a little over two years, and love it. It's easy to clean and makes the best steaks in Colorado (if I do say so myself). Oh yea, that stuff on the inside of the grill that looks like ...

Epinions Very Good, almost great charcoal grill

by  KevMorris,  Aug 31, 2004
Pros: Charcoal, big work table, tool hangers, It's a weber!
Cons: Lid doesn't slide completely out of the way.
The Bottom Line: A very good and versatile grill. A couple of small design changes would make it a truly awesome grill.
Review: I've had this grill for about 3 months and hear are some thoughts I have about it. Assembly was reasonably easy. It took me about 30 minutes and I had to backtrack one time because I put a plastic bracket on the wrong side of the tube. It quickly ...

Epinions A nice grill for the money!

by  green_machine,  Jun 11, 2004
Pros: Sturdy, flexible, and convenient
Cons: No temperature gauge, non-removable mounting brackets for legs welded to the kettle assembly
The Bottom Line: A good value for the money, with lots of convenient features. Makes a great Father's day gift. Prepares better tasting food than propane or electric grills, and is safer too.
Review: I received this grill for Father's day two years ago, and have used it every weekend through the Summer and Fall months. It assembled easily, and the components are sturdy. One oddity is that the unit is shipped with the same kettle assembly used ...
