Epinions Wet and Wild: Full review

by  dilbert627,  Jan 14, 2002
Pros: Very fun. Beautiful water and weather effects. Decent music.
Cons: More tracks might have been nice. Can be quite challenging.
The Bottom Line: Incredibly fun game with good graphics and sound. Could have been longer, but is replayable.
Review: Story: WaveRace 64 was an excellent game, which had water effects like no other game before. It was impressive as an early N64 game, and was fun to go back and replay every once in a while. With a new console comes a sequel, and Nintendo's American...

Epinions Less A Sequel, More Of An Extreme Upgrade

by  Shaunpm60,  Feb 14, 2003
Pros: Solid framerate, great wave and weather effects, better rider models, bigger stunt mode.
Cons: Not radically different in terms of gameplay. No lighting effects. Average music.
The Bottom Line: Even though the design remains the same, the formula still works, and it looks better than ever. Great for fans of Wave Race 64 or racing games.
Review: Wave Race Blue Storm is really more of an upgrade than a full-on sequel. But that's not bad, since you're getting a more visualized package than the N64 version. For those who have never played the N64 hit, or even the 1992 GameBoy racer, Wave Race is a...

Epinions Blue Storm is the best water based racer ever.

by  awymore,  Apr 22, 2002
Pros: Excellent water physics, four player split screen, very challenging, and decent next generation graphics.
Cons: While there are a number of different track layouts, there are only seven different areas.
The Bottom Line: I highly recommend Blue Storm to racing fans who enjoy a challenge and are willing to take the time to learn the games controls. Arcade fans should probably look elsewhere.
Review: Wave Race 64 is considered by many to be the best racer available on the Nintendo 64. So Wave Race Blue Storm had a lot to live up to as its next generation sequal. While Blue Storm features many improvements and is a much better game overall, it has...

Epinions A splashing good time

by  kyuushu,  May 5, 2002
Pros: Fun gamplay, water effects are great, nice graphics
Cons: Control scheme requires practice, stunts can be difficult to do
The Bottom Line: Although it takes a bit of getting used to, Wave Race Blue Storm is fun to play with its great graphics and amazing water physics.
Review: Wave Race Blue Storm is a jet-ski game that’s surprisingly fun despite its initial learning curve. The difficulty of the game lies in its subject matter: racing on water. Racing jet-skis takes some practice to begin with, and they’re very different than ...

Epinions Splash, Splash, don't come in last!

by  Augdawg,  Jan 29, 2002
Pros: Another Wave to Ride!
Cons: Nothing new, but is this a good thing?
The Bottom Line: Fans of the original Wave Race will rejoice!
Review: Many of us Nintendo 64 faithful should remember Wave Race 64! Which in my opinion was one of the best racing titles that every came out for the Nintendo 64. My only brother has never played video games, but I couldn't keep the controller out of his...

by  zacb,  Nov 25, 2001
Pros: Great graphics, engrossing gameplay
Cons: Difficult learning curve, limited number of tracks
The Bottom Line: If you loved Wave Race 64 then this title will make your day.
Review: Make no mistake. This is a difficult game. Your opinion of Wave Race: Blue Storm will depend on whether you enjoy its features and gameplay enough to continue playing through it and becoming skilled enough to master it.

That said, the game is...

Epinions WaveRace 7.5 / 10

by  brclarke,  Dec 29, 2001
Pros: Good racing game with excellent eye candy graphics
Cons: Only about 6 courses - more variety would have been good.
The Bottom Line: I enjoyed this racing game - but if you want a racing game with stunts, also check out "SSX Tricky".
Review: WaveRace: Blue Storm is a jetski racing game with good gameplay and beautiful ''eye candy'' graphics.

Most of the critics panned WaveRace Blue Storm as so-so, but I thought it was fairly good. WRBS has decent gaming action with very good...

Epinions Wave Race: Blue Drizzle

by  search66, top reviewer in Games ,  Dec 24, 2001
Pros: Visuals.
Cons: Replay value.
The Bottom Line: candy=good | binary=bad
Review: "One of the premier names in Nintendo racing ties to extend its legacy and produces a visually stunning flagship release."

Time and time again...
The N64 produced a handful of memorable games. The most noticeable...
