Firmware upgrade from 6046 to 6049 removes WPA option !!

Pros: Burns well when thrown in the fireplace

Just upgraded the firmware of the WPS54G to try and solve major problems with the device (unable to hook-up to the wireless network, unable to set fixed IP-address in Web-utility etc.). I went from 6046 to 6049 and found that where 6046 still offered both WEP as well as WPA/TKIP, the NEWER firmware (6049) offers WEP 64bit or 128bit only.
They'd better call this a Firmware-DOWNgrade if I were Linksys. Anyway, worst of all is that none of my previous problems were resolved, so the FW-upgrade only brought me into more problems.
