I bought this model because this was the smallest capacity ice cream maker in the store. I plan to make frozen desserts that have no cholesterol because my SO is addicted to ice cream. This ice cream maker is relatively quiet compared to some older models I've seen. You could have a conversation in the kitchen and still hear another person while this thing is working. My first batch didn't turn out so well. I froze the bucket only for 6 hours. On my next batch I will freeze it for over 24 hours. Also I might have put too much fruit (I used a 16 oz. can of pineapple). That might have inhibited the freezing process. I'm looking forward to experimenting with different flavors like green tea, licorice, and coconut. Cleaning this model is easy because there's only 3 parts to soap and rinse.
