Epinions Amazing deal for the money

by  bentl1,  Jul 16, 2004
Pros: Easy to set up, great functionality, best bargain in web cameras on the market.
Cons: No hardcopy owners manual, only CD.
The Bottom Line: Best buy in market...period. Unbelievable value. Digital camera w/digital zoom, web server, internet remote controlled pan and zoom, motion sensor capabilities and only $150? WOW!!
Review: I've read the reviews that have had issues with this camera and I'm convinced they didn't take the time to read the owners manual. A comparable camera from anyone else is almost double the price. Or a commercial model can easily cost a thousand bucks or ...

Epinions Excellent Overall Value

by  merlyn_dhc,  Jan 2, 2006
Pros: Low cost
Feature packed
Functional by all counts
Cons: Must use Internet Explorer
Must have admin rights (to install script once)
Some installation difficulties
The Bottom Line: If you don't have tons of money to spend, this is easily the best in class. The low cost puts VEO ahead of its competitors.
Review: What is it? The Veo Wireless Observer is a Pan / Tilt / Zoom webcam with a built in web server. The idea is that you can log into it from any Windows desktop and view the video stream. Veo tries to pack in the best features while keeping the ...

Epinions Nice hardware but firmware needs improvement

by  shaboopee,  May 19, 2004
Pros: Great image quality, convenient setup, great price for pan/tilt
Cons: ActiveX control forces viewers to use Microsoft OS and browser, no JPEG still images
The Bottom Line: Buy it only if you intend to always view from a machine running Microsoft Internet Explorer and Windows and have permission to install an ActiveX control.
Review: This camera has excellent picture quality and the pan/tilt feature is very handy. I had no problem setting up my routers to make it visible from the Internet (http://63.227.59.66/ user:"mick", pass:"mick"). It is great that it just connects to my LAN ...

Epinions veo webcam

by  exoticcats,  Apr 1, 2005
Pros: worked well for 6 months
Cons: doesn't work for long...its a throw away camera.
Review: I purchased the Veo web cam in Feb. 2004. Within 6 months the head would fall forward and not go back up. It was still under warrantee and they sent me a RMA #. I mailed my camera to them in January and as of yet they still will not return calls or ...

Epinions It broke, support number out of service

by  out_of_luck,  May 24, 2006
Pros: Nice paperweight
Cons: If it breaks, you're out of luck, period!
Review: I hooked this camera up to my Westell 327w. Not too difficult, it worked ok for a day. Then the camera seemed to lock up, so as per the support page on the Veo website, I sent the most recent update to it. It won't do anything now, won't turn on or off, ...
