I am sorry I mispoke. This is the most amazing game that I have ever lived, because that is what you do in the third installment of the elderscrolls saga. You begin your cyberlife on a boat, with no identity and no idea what you are supposed to do. After creating your character through an ingenous personality survey or simply making one from scratch, you are given a mission: deliver a package to a man in Balmora. Then you are set loose upon the island of Morrowind. From this point you can do whatever you want. You can sell the package you were to deliver and continue playing as though this mission never existed. You can start a life by joining one of the many guilds or social houses availble and these will eventually result in leadership of a guild or the construction of your own stronghold. You can wander the land and become a villian, looting tombs gaurded by undead or stealing from the various shops or aristocrats you find in the various cities around Morrowind. Or you can deliver the package and be swept up in a quest that determines the outcome of all life in this immensely detailed world.

The gameplay is amazing, you can create your own magic items, clothings or weapons. You can train in any of the 27 (it might be more I haven't counted) skills ranging from acrobatics to blunt weapon use to speechcraft. The more you use a skill the better you get with it after you rise 10 skill points your character will obtain a level and gain strength. The npcs (non-player characters) are numerous and most of them will have something unique to say or even a quest to give you. I have literally played this game for more than 700 hours over the last three years and it has never gotten old, I also have not finished exploring everything. The original game is supplemented by two expansion packs as well as the TES: Construction Software.

The TES: Construction Kit allows anyone who has the desire to create new worlds and post them online. These mods range from creation of a new weapon, to new characters, to a whole new world built from scratch. With a large amount of people contributing mods to this game, it never gets old and the graphics are done well enough to ensure that this game will not become obsolete for another two or three years at least. By then maybe Bethseda will have released the Elder Scrolls IV!
