Epinions For those about Turok. . .

by  mortalcoil,  Sep 1, 2002
Pros: Great gameplay, generally very high production values.
Cons: Some blocky characters, not progressive-scan capable.
The Bottom Line: Easily the best Turok ever and a must-have game for the GC.
Review: The title is appropriate, because this latest installment of the Turok franchise represents a huge advance over previous versions in terms of gameplay, graphics and overall feel. The environments are large, detailed and varied, the controls are...

Epinions Turok Evolution For Nintendo Gamecube: Its No Halo...

by  pearl-drum-man, top reviewer in Games ,  Aug 31, 2002
Pros: Nice graphics, runs smooth, high action factor, variety.
Cons: Frequent loading, a little buggy
The Bottom Line: A strong FPS title, nice hold-over till Metroid Prime hits.
Review: …but it's still a very strong game! In fact its one of the best available for the GC. Not being a huge fan of FPS (first person shooters), especially on consoles, this wasn’t a game I would have normally been really excited about, but having played...

Epinions What Evolution?

by  Shaunpm60,  Dec 5, 2002
Pros: Good detail, big weapons, multiplayer modes, a respectable framerate...
Cons: ...which would be better if there were less plants. Odd control scheme.
The Bottom Line: If you can stand many little problems and one nagging one, Turok Evolution could be the next game you're looking for.
Review: I'll admit, the Turok series was never one of my perrenial favorites. I do own Turok 2 for the N64 (and this) and that's about it. The series is good at providing massive environments with great detail and giving players a lot of weapons to brutally kill...

Epinions Turok , a New Beginning

by  mickeyfmann,  Oct 14, 2002
Pros: Great Graphics, Realistic World, Supports 4 player vs. play.
Cons: Takes time to load, and has to load often, poor controller configuration.
The Bottom Line: This is not the best Turok game ever, but it is definitely worthy to carry the Turok name. I suggest that you try it out, you will not be disappointed.
Review: I'm a diehard Turok fan, I loved all four of the games released for N64. And I won't lie this game is definitely not the best when compared to its predecessors, but it is still a strong game.

Game Specs.
Rate Mature, due to violence and...

Epinions Turok: Evolution: Have you kissed a dinosaur lately?

by  rice75,  Jan 21, 2003
Pros: Multiplayer is great, blood baths for everyone!
Cons: Single player missions can be pull-out-your hair frustrating. Load times are unbearable.
The Bottom Line: I'd give it 3.5 stars. Multiplayer is where it's at.
Review: (I starting writing this review last year when I first got my Gamecube but I never got around to finishing it. Here it is, months after its humble beginnings in my “Epinions to write” Word document.)

I won’t go into much of...

Epinions Not Evolutionary nor Revolutionary

by  NMD85,  Oct 13, 2002
Pros: Lots of sniping, gore and gushing blood, mowing down Sabertooth Tigers with a Shotgun!
Cons: Extensive load times, no checkpoints, mediocre flying portions, washed-out looking graphics
The Bottom Line: I'd be nice for Acclaim to mean "Evolution" instead of just saying so to move the series along since this one is otherwise a mediocre presentation. Shame shame, Acclaim!
Review: Ever since 1997, Acclaim unveiled their destined popular console first-person shooter, Turok, onto the Nintendo 64. Over the years, Acclaim has supported their strong console-based first person shooting franchise with plenty of follow-ups including...

Epinions turok devolution

by  defiantvoice,  Jan 12, 2003
Pros: Nice detailed outdoor enviroments, fun
Cons: Frustrating, repedative
The Bottom Line: Buy it if you're a turok fan or if you are a first person shooter nut
Review: Maybe DEVOLUTION is pushing it a bit but the game does take a step back from current first person shooters such as halo, wolfenstien 3d. The problem lies mainly in its frustrating and non rewarding gameplay. The enviroments arent interactive enough. ...

Epinions The worst game ever

by  silvrdrgn08,  Dec 4, 2003
Pros: I cant find any, seriously
Cons: everything
The Bottom Line: DONT BUY IT
Review: This game was horrible. I rented this game right after I got my gamecube and found that it was not what I expected it to be. I had heard that Turok was going to be a great game and that the graphics on the new gamecube system would be amazing. I heard ...

Epinions This game stinks worse than T-Rex

by  futureshopper,  Jan 7, 2005
Pros: Graphics good, nice sound effects.
Cons: Heavy loading times, way too frustrating.
Review: This game is the worst game ever for the Game Cube. It's way to hard and the loading times are atrocious, almost like you loading a computer game from the Internet. Don't rent it or buy it. You'll be ...
