Epinions Feature packed but not perfect

by  cenielsen,  Sep 9, 2007
Pros: Accuracy, display, ease of use, interface, Bluetooth connectivity.
Cons: Inability to distinguish from light and dark situations.
The Bottom Line: Shop around before committing to this device. TomTom is releasing new models, as is Garmin, so there are a lot to choose from.
Review: TomTom's reputation as a leader in GPS systems was what prompted me to choose this system. The price was competitive with a similar model from Garmin, but the TomTom had a few more features. Overall the device has worked as expected, and I have not ...

Epinions Lots Of Features But Still Lacking

by  tiktok4321,  Jan 2, 2008
Pros: Bluetooth, 4 inch screen, Lots of voices to guide you.
Cons: Menus convoluted, phone book can't be managed, extra features require steep learning curve.
The Bottom Line: Buy it if you get a great deal on it. Really compare features if you find several in the same price range.
Review: Basic GPS Features The TomTom 910 comes preloaded with complete maps of the USA, Canada and Western Europe preinstalled. There is a fee upgrade to the latest current maps, despite their latest map guarantee. You will have the latest map - ...

Epinions If you are looking for direction, you found it. Nice GPS Solution.

by  jdwheeler,  Oct 13, 2007
Pros: Great maps and directions to anywhere, 20GB MP3 Hard Drive, Updateable, Blutooth.
Cons: Some menus take getting used to, for your money-find it on sale.
The Bottom Line: With quality maps and directions on a big screen with a 20 GB MP3 to boot. It’s a solid choice.
Review: I’ll be honest I was new to the world of GPS. I don’t have a job where I travel much so I thought I wouldn’t ever have a need for GPS. I received the TOMTOM GO 910 from a contest at work. I thought it would only collect dust. Boy, was I wrong? ...

Epinions Ditch those paper maps..

by  sanctifyer,  Feb 7, 2007
Pros: Gets me there easily and quickly. Text to speech translation is clever.
Cons: Silly features. Buggy Software. Clumsy engineering for attaching it to the windshield.
The Bottom Line: The mapping and directions are fantastic, but the software is not perfect and it has silly features that you probably won’t use.
Review: I’ve bought a TomTom 300 about 3 years ago and it was quite revolutionary for me. The ability to drive and never have to worry about how to get to my destination. The TomTom 910 is a huge improvement over the TomTom 300 but let me stand back and ...

Epinions Our First GPS

by  vry3pinionated,  Aug 25, 2008
Pros: Interface is user friendly
Cons: Battery Life, Navigating Software is confused
Review: We bought this GPS when we got lost in Washington D.C. Although it helped us find some great food, it did not include many of the sites we wanted to see in the area (no "landmarks" or other just POI). This GPS did get quite confused in the "mixing bowl" ...

Epinions It's hard to go right with the G0 910

by  bobcov3,  Dec 22, 2007
Pros: Great feature set, nice screen, bluetooth, MP3, etc.
Cons: Doesn't do the primary job: Optimal routes are a hit or miss proposition
The Bottom Line: All the hardware elements are here for a beautiful system, but as implemented this unit consistently leads me the wrong way.
Review: The below is a note sent to TomTom tech support. It summarizes a number of issues which you should be aware of before buying this unit. It's a gorgeous unit, but it just doesn't do a very good job of getting you from point A to point B, which for a GPS ...

Epinions Replaced FIVE TIMES!!!!

by  jblues,  Dec 1, 2007
Pros: It's perfect when it does work.
Cons: I've exchanged it 5 times!
The Bottom Line: Get a protection plan!
Review: my 910 was the first one I bought. Right away, it's easy to fall in love w/ this unit b/c it literally holds you by the hand and takes you were you need to go (as long as it can find your location within the unit). However, I've had to return the unit ...

Epinions Nice GPS, but seems to have some bugs.

by  juicyoner,  Aug 7, 2008
Pros: Works great - when it is working
Cons: Shuts down unexpectedly, Can't find a way home, needs to be reset
The Bottom Line: This is an ok GPS - not very reliable. However when it is working normally, it functions perfectly.
Review: This Tom Tom GPS system seems to work great.. when it is not malfunctioning. Other reviewer will have explained why it is good - I won't go too far into that. The interface is slick and easy to understand (even for my eighty year old grandfather who is ...
