Not the best I've played

I enjoy playing games. I've spend many many hours working my way through numerous games, but I just could never get into Tomb Raider.

My roommate brought home TR and loved it. I had heard the hype about how fantastic it was so I gave it a shot. I never really made it that far into the game because I just got bored with it for a few reasons.

1) I really didn't like the over-the-shoulder perspective that the game had. I was used to the first person perspective and I like that. With Tomb Raider I found it hard to judge distances or aim correctly.

2) Very few enemies. Unlike other games that drop you into a target-rich environment, Raider starts you off with very few opportunities to get the guns blazing.

3) Difficult to move around. I spent most of my time just learning how to get Laura around in the game. The controls were difficult to ge the hang of and when I did I found that they were a little clumsy.

I know that there is an army of people that love this game and I am not one of them. I never got into the lust for Laura Croft either, that just struck me as odd. I will say that it was a nice change to see a female lead in an action game, I can't help but think that a first person perspective would have helped this game.
