Epinions Toastmaster Dual Control – Wide 4-Slot Toaster

by  Jev04again,  Jan 14, 2005
Pros: Doesn’t take up much space on the counter; does a fair job in toasting.
Cons: Isn't always 100% reliable in its toasting abilities; has a "pretty blue flare", explained below.
The Bottom Line: This is a fair toaster that does the basic job, but I am a little disappointed.
Review: I guess I was spoiled by my previous toaster that I received as a gift 20 years ago. I used that toaster everyday for the entire 20 years, 7 months that I had it. So when the day came that it heaved its last breath, the first thing I did was think ...

Epinions Toastmaster T2040 Isn't a Master at Toasting

by  quasar,  Aug 13, 2006
Pros: looks very elegant, doesn't smudge as much as most white appliances
Cons: toasts slowly and inconsistently, only toasts the surface, odd textures, poorly designed cancel
The Bottom Line: The Toastmaster T2040 toaster is all flash with no substance.
Review: There are certain things I expect from a toaster. I expect the heating elements to turn red when the toaster is in use, providing a visual cue that it's working. I expect the toaster to let me find the right setting and retain that setting from that ...

Epinions Stay far away!

by  desertmama,  Sep 29, 2003
Pros: Nice idea.
Cons: Simply doesn't work well.
The Bottom Line: Would not recommend. Spend the extra and get something that works.
Review: With three kids, a four-slot toaster is a must in our household. Unfortunately, we didn't do any research before we headed to the store and just picked this one out because it was the cheapest on the shelf. There's a reason it was so cheap. This is the ...

Epinions spend more money and save the hassle!

by  ssimon31,  Jan 4, 2005
Pros: cheap
Cons: cheap
The Bottom Line: no matter how attractive it is, if it doesn't work, it's no use to you!
Review: We just bought this toaster in the silver/black color. Sorry to say this was the only reason we bought the toaster other than it being 4 slotted. We recently changed our kitchen decor and were looking for the all black/stainless look. Being that ...

Epinions Who designed this thing?

by  grouch33,  Sep 28, 2001
Pros: "Looks" well made, and probably will last a long time.
Cons: Doesn't work worth a darn!
The Bottom Line: The next time I buy a toaster I'm taking slices of bread into the store and demanding a trial run!
Review: I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how this product ever got to market. I mean, did it go straight from the drafting board (of an engineer who'd never designed a toaster) to the store shelves? Didn't they build a prototype and try it out to see...

Epinions A New Toaster for the WWF

by  jobshopr,  Jan 2, 2002
Pros: Nice Looking box. Pop Tart Feature.
Cons: Handle will not stay down unless you slam it.
The Bottom Line: I'm sure a $6 model at Kmart will work better. Duct tape them together and get yourself a working 4 slicer for 12 bucks.
Review: You need to be a pro wrestler to slam the handle down hard enought for the toast to stay locked in the toast position.
The quality seems to be just fine and the design is very nice, but I have a hard time not knocking it off the counter when I give...

Epinions JUNK

by  harleyeagle,  Jul 27, 2005
Pros: NONE
Cons: Quit working, and it has it's own mind when to pop up.
Review: I had one for about a month, being single I toasted approx. two loafs of bread, and one side quit working. For a family, probably wouldn't last a week. Don't waste your time and money buying this. ...

Epinions uneven toasting

by  smokey47,  Jul 18, 2006
Pros: Good design
Cons: Toasting is uneven from one side to the other.
Review: Good looking unit but is not good at doing what is should be doing, push down on the lever and take notice that one side is closer to the heating element than the other, hence one side is toasted more than the other, if one side is perfect chances are ...
