Won't last very long

We bought the 1132 a year ago and it worked nicely until it the plastic locking ring on the motor base stripped out. We're having a hard time finding a replacement part so it looks like it's headed for the dumpster. But I guess I should have expected as much, since we only payed about $20 for it.
