Sim Theme Park- An Addiction Like No Other!

I bought Sim Theme Park a month ago, after finally getting a different computer. Our old one could not handle the graphics of most games, so when we finally got a computer that could handle them, this game was at the top of my list.

Sim Theme Park is one of the most fun and thought provoking games I have ever played or seen. Most everyone likes Amusement Parks, but what would it be like to create your own, ride your own rides? This game let's you do all of that and more!

How Do You Get Started?

It's quite easy! First you need to install your software, and with our game, we had included a bonus CD with 30 extra games and rides to add as well. Next you will be shown a small film clip of one of the Parks, and then asked to type in your name, up to 4 names can be added. Once your name is in, your first Park that you visit is the Lost Kingdom, this is where you start your Adventure.

How Many Parks Are There?

There are four parks which you can develop. The Lost Kingdom, Wonderland, Haunted Park, and the Space Park. Each park contains different rides, games, and concession stands. The basic idea of each ride is the same, along with the price.

How Do You Get To Each Park?

In order to get to the second park, which is Wonderland, you must earn what are called Golden Tickets. These tickets are give to you for a job well done in attendance, rides, and staff control. The more tickets you get, the better chance you have of advancing to the next park.

Is It Hard To Create A Park?

No, not all all. They give you simple instructions, and a host also walks you through each stage, whether laying down rides, or how many bathrooms to put in. You are given $50,000 to start your Park with, which is quite alot in these terms, and if used wisely, you can double that easily in profit in two years time! On the bottom of the screen, will be what month and year it is, keeping track will help you also see how your park is progressing financially.

What Is The Point Of This Game?

The point of this game is to make the best Park possible, without going bankrupt and without upsetting your visitors or Staff. The more money you make, the more rides and games are offered, and the happier your visitors are.
The possibilities are endless, so have fun with it!

Are There People Involved?

Heck yeah! You will form a staff of janitors, researchers, mechanics, entertainers, and guards. Along with those people, will be the people who attend your park! They will act up, throw smoke bombs, smell up your bathrooms, and decide if your shops are to expensive or your rides are to wild.

How Long Does It Take To Play?

The reason I put this tidbit in was because this game is HIGHLY ADDICTIVE! It can take HOURS to even really get going with your Park, so be prepared, and remember, there is ALWAYS a Save button!

How Do I Save?

To Save, hit your Escape key once, which will bring up a menu for saving, quitting, or renaming your game.
