Tetris DX: The Ultimate Review

Brief History
Alexey Pajitnov is the brains behind the addicting puzzle game that captivated millions. The traditional puzzle Pentomino was the inspiration behind Tetris. In the game, there are 7 different shapes with four square blocks. Then comes the name Tetris. It was taken from tetra Tetra is the Greek word for the number "four." Thanks to many computer geeks, the game was published and played throughout Moscow. (Moscow is the capital of Russia) Tetris experienced most of it's success because of Nintendo's Game Boy handheld console. It sold over 30 million copies on this system alone. And now here it is again, on a new Game Boy Color unit!

Gameplay
The A and B triggers on the Game Boy unit rotate the blocks to fit in any nooke or cranny. The game is so incredibly addicting! I can never put it down without topping my personal record. (The record now stands at 243 lines.) Not too shabby, heh?

Graphics
The whole point of the DX version was to put the original game into a color environment. There's not much to the game, so there is no real need for any explosive graphics. Blocks are colorful and there are a few neat looking backgrounds. There are also animated backgrounds to add to the fun.

Sound
There are three different musical beats to choose from, each addicting just like the game itself.
