Epinions Tekken 2 Is Quite Simply One Of The Finest Fighting Games Ever

by  marty1982,  Jun 16, 2002
Pros: Very Deep Fighting System, nice (albeit slightly dated) graphics, good sound.
Cons: Some of those combos are nigh impossible.
The Bottom Line: Tekken 2 is IMO the finest fighting game ever to grace the Playstation game console.
Review: Released in 1996, Tekken 2 was a breath of fresh air for Playstation fans waiting for a truly killer fighting game (especially after the release of Sega's excellent Virtua Fighter 2). The game's then-state of the art graphics and all around addictive...

Epinions They've come a long way since Tekken 1

by  turchan,  Apr 10, 2000
Pros: New characters, new moves, new music, better graphics
Cons: It is now outdated, Tekken 3 is better
Review: This was the first fighting game I ever played. I actually didn't play Tekken 1 'till a long time after I had played Tekken 2. Namco has come a long way since their first release of Tekken 1. Every aspect of the game was improved.

Epinions Wham Bam! Tekken is a BLAST!

by  jeffslilee,  Jan 25, 2000
Pros: two-player game, clear graphics, large variety of music, challenging, yet not too hard
Cons: may be too violent for the younger age group
Review: Tekken 2 was the game my husband chose when we purchased our Playstation. He enjoyed it as an arcade game, and he really enjoys it now, as do I! The main thing about Tekken 2 that I like is that it is a 2 player game. I love playing against someone...

Epinions I used to play Tekken in the arcade so of course when playstation came out and this game too I was thrilled.

by  ivyrose19,  Dec 19, 1999
Pros: Great moves and great graphics especially in the movie sequences.
Cons: Could be considered violent but what isn't these days.
Review: I think that all of the Tekken games are awesome I own Tekken 2 and 3. A little hint if you go to the options menu and change it to one fight per match and change characters at continue and then start a fight you will master the game in a hurry. Each...

Epinions The best fighting game ever made.

by  pjvd,  Jan 25, 2000
Pros: Great all around
Cons: none
Review: We have this game and everyone in this house loves it. It has a lot action and the graphics are great. The moves you can make are terrific and not very hard to do. My 5 year old can do the moves in this games. If that is not easy then I don't know what...

Epinions Violence Rules!!!!

by  B_D_T,  Jan 20, 2000
Pros: Action-packed bloodbath
Cons: Not for young children--they'll mimic the scenes with bad results
Review: Tekken 2 is the perfect way to legally unleash your rage after a bad day. The action is unbelievably electrifying. (This game shouldn't really be played by or around little children because they'll imitate the scenes, and hurt themselves or other...

Epinions The Best Game

by  mrmatrixz,  Apr 15, 2000
Pros: Speed, Combos, 3-D Characters.
Cons: NONE
Review: Tekken, with it's 3-D graphics and wire frame characters, blew me away. But when tekken 2 came out, I instantly went out and bought it. I loved the combos and characters moves and the speed of the game. It's amazing. This is by far better than Mortal...

Epinions It's at least a duke, if not King

by  flash-hammer,  Jan 30, 2005
Pros: Fun,Some cool characters,animation improved
Cons: fighters a bit blocky, lacks any real selling point
The Bottom Line: Tekken 2 is one of the best fighters on the PSX, and as close to perfection as the series gets. If you like fighters, you really should own it.
Review: If there is one series of fighting games which has had more ups and downs than a yo-yo, it's without a doubt the Tekken series. The first game dropped on the release of the Sony PlayStation, as an answer to Sega's Virtua Fighter for their rival Saturn ...

Epinions Tekken 2: The Cusp of Greatness.

by  Alkaiser,  Sep 9, 2002
Pros: Cutting edge at its time, helped launch 3D fighting.
Cons: Graphics a bit clunky. Tobal 2 had this beat in animation and modeling.
The Bottom Line: Not the best, PS1 fighter, I rank Tekken 3 and Tobal 2 ahead of it.
Review: Back when the original Playstation first came out there weren't very many fighting games on it. I remember being the Blockbuster regional video game champ in my area, and using my 4 free video game rentals a month to rent the original Battle Arena...

Review: Tekken 2 is a great game. It has everything; Great graphics, sound, control, and fun. The story of Tekken 2 is very interesting and captivating. I truly like this game.
