Epinions A fryer that does exactly what it's supposed to

by  nomanselizab,  Jul 14, 2004
Pros: Large capacity/diameter, temperature control and timer, food consistantly cooked well
Cons: Needs timing suggestions in manual
The Bottom Line: A good product that delivers
Review: I have avoided buying an 'enclosed' fryer for some time, mostly because of the seemingly small capacity of many models. However, this model caught my eye on a display in a local department store. The diameter of the 'cavity' appeared to be quite ...

Epinions Easy to Use, Large Capacity, Easy to Clean

by  cmwig,  Sep 6, 2003
Pros: Easy to Use, Large Capacity, Easy to Clean
Cons: Storage
Review: I highly recommend the T-Fal Maxi-Fry Deep Fryer. It is a somewhat large capacity deep fryer, but I really wouldn't recommend anything smaller. You can fry an entire meal for 2-4 people in about 20 minutes just because the basket is so large. I bought ...

Epinions T-Fal Maxi-Fry FF1001 Offers Sizzle without Splash or Spatter

by  mind-full,  Apr 14, 2004
Pros: good-looking if keeping it on display, no splatter, timer, adjustable temp, permanent filter
Cons: grease bowl not removable, lid/filter need to be dishwasher cleaned periodically (not a deal-breaker)
The Bottom Line: In need of an affordable, feature-friendly fryer? This one can be your friend.
Review: The T-Fal Maxi-Fry FF1001 made my "Wish List" for a number of reasons and remains on my list of favorite appliances even though I don't use it multiple times each week. When it comes out of storage it provides me with excellent performance and very ...

Epinions Good Value for the money

by  bamatt,  Mar 22, 2004
Pros: Heats up quickly. Cooks food evenly
Cons: Can't lift basket out of oil with lid closed.
The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a bargain, the T-Fal unit is the way to go. If you can spend a bit more, look at the DeLonghis.
Review: I bought this model as a replacement for a DeLonghi deep fryer because I was unable to find one in my local area. While my previous DeLonghi fryer was by far superior to this unit, I feel that for the money the T-Fal is quite acceptable. (I paid around ...

Epinions Tefal FF1001 Deep Fryer

by  cucumber,  Oct 23, 2005
Pros: Large basket and good temperature regulation
Cons: Short electrical cord.
Review: This deep fryer is one of the better purchasing decisions I have made. The size is right and the quality of construction is very good for the price range. I have been using this for about 18 months, cooking mostly french fries and potato chips. ...

Epinions My second Tefal Deep Fryer

by  ladywriter,  Jan 4, 2007
Pros: Great size for a medium to big size family. Timer's great. Good teflon coating.
Cons: Cooking pot does not come off for cleaning. A couple of electrical malfunctions.
The Bottom Line: I bought this mainly for the size. So, it all depends on your priority. For size n looks, this is the best out there.
Review: Do you know why this is my second one? The first one somehow got too hot and melt away the part of the handle, and the cover's hinge. However, this was after a year plus usage. The other thing which I'm so annoyed at this was that since I'm kinda on the ...

Epinions Easy to use.

by  ei8ht,  Jul 9, 2007
Pros: Easy to use. Good price
Cons: A pain to clean. on/off switch is cheap...ours broke, and forget fixing it...cheaply made.
Review: This fryer does a nice job...easy to use. But, is a pain to clean and empty. Since ours broke (a bad on/off switch)I'm looking for any other brand that is rated well and has better features. Don't get me wrong...it was a nice enough fryer...but I ...

Epinions Fire hazard

by  nova_newfie,  Dec 4, 2005
Pros: It heated up quick.
Cons: It caught on fire.
Review: I recieved a t-fal maxi-fry deep fryer for a house warming gift less than a year ago. It seemed to work very good. We had no problems and it heated up quick and worked good. The other day we plugged it in and turned it on and it arc-ed out the bottom. ...

Epinions OK fryer

by  snowinsummer,  Mar 26, 2007
Pros: price.
Cons: cooking times off, food sticks to basket, not enough cooking instructions & no Q&A.
Review: Purchased my first deep fryer. Was very excited, but that quickly disappeared when I removed my first batch of fries. The fried were all stuck together AND stuck to the bottom of the basket. I had to "rip" the potatoes out of the basket. I tried again, ...
