excellent burr grinder at an affordable price

I replaced a Melitta MEBG8B Burr Grinder with the Cuisinart Supreme Grind. The reviews and Cuisinart's reputation for quality home goods where the reason for the purchase. I always enjoy researching products before a purchase and Amazon has great prices and free shipping on this item. The Cuisinart DBM-8 grinder is considerably louder then the other Melitta grinder. However, the adjustability on the Cuisinart is easier and never gets stuck. I had to take apart the Melitta because the beans on a larger grind will get stuck. I always buy whole bean organic coffee beans from deansbeans.com because their fresh and the coffee always tastes great. The oils on the beans have stopped the Melitta grinder but the Cuisinart powers right through. The only drawback is that I wish they offered a glass container. The plastic container creates static and sometimes the grinds get everywhere upon cleanup. I do not recommend placing the plastic container in the dishwasher, hand washing is easy and the case won't split with high heat dishwashers. Anyway, the stainless and black finish make it a great addition to the kitchen lineup and I recommend this so far. I've had this for 3 months and will update later if the need arises.
