Epinions Big game comes to little system

by  spzero,  Aug 12, 2001
Pros: This is one quality game, The original Mario plus extra levels = awesome
Cons: you can't see the whole picture on your tiny game boy screen
The Bottom Line: Everyone should own this because Mario is a classic and it will never die. This game is better than some of the newer ones out today.
Review: Remember when you played Super Mario Bros. on your old Nintendo Entertainment System? If you do then you'll be right at home playing this game. If you have a Gameboy color then go out and buy this game right away!

Epinions Super Mario Deluxe: A Great Way to relive the Classic!

by  meanbeast,  Feb 24, 2000
Pros: Excellent port, 2nd hard level, Challenge game, VS game, Lost Levels game, Racing the Computer game, Photo album, lots of GB printer support
Cons: Small GB screen means there is a tiny bit of up/down scrolling, if you don't have a GB printer, you can't use a few of the features
Review: Bursting with lots of great features, Super Mario Deluxe (SMBD) is more than anyone could ask for. It looks like a simple port of Super Mario from the NES, but it's much more than that. Also, SMBD makes great use of Game Boy Color's color.

Epinions Take me back to '86

by  brendanm,  Sep 29, 2000
Pros: A great, classic Nintendo game, still entertaining after all these years. A great nostalgic experience!
Cons: Younger gamers who were born after the 8-bit revolution might not see what the fuss is all about.
Review: It's a testament to Nintendo's greatness that in the age of cinematic 3D experiences with full orchestral scores, an unassuming side-scroller about a roly-poly plumber lost in a world of giant mushrooms can still be great entertainment. Indeed, fifteen...

Epinions A Classic revisited on the small screen

by  socnorb777,  Dec 6, 2000
Pros: All the classic feature
Cons: Not much
Review: As a child of the 80s who grew up playing on the good old eight bit Nintendo Entertainment system, I had to purchase this game. I had to, because this is the game that saved video games in the mid eighties. Without this game, there would be no...

Epinions Re-mastering a classic.

by  arada392,  Jun 21, 2000
Pros: Fantastic gameplay, very complete.
Cons: Main game is the same as 1985 original.
Review: The thing that surprised me most about Super Mario Bros. Deluxe is the fact that it is not merely a conversion of the classic NES game. Like Super Mario Bros. All Stars on the SNES, (which contained Super Mario Bros. 1, 2, and 3...
