And Cartman Takes The Lead...
Pros:
A great twist of the old "Kart Racer" games.
Cons:
Some of the races are pretty difficult.
The Bottom Line:
It's something different, and that is always a good thing.

Author's Review
One of my earliest reviews covered this very game on the N64, and for those of you who read it, you know that I loved it. Well, it'f the same here, only more.
What was accused of being just another "Mario Kart" rip-off (or "Crash Team Racing" knock-off. It just depends on who you talk to) is nothing of the sort. The people who made such wrongful accusations must have failed to get past the first race (and the only open one you start with on the disc) and are yet to see the oddball races awaiting them over that last checkpoint.
Every race is different. Whether it's fighting for the cure to Mad Cow Disease (since all of the drivers have been infected), to hunting for pairs of soiled underwear and cleaning them by running through the four checkpoints three times (see, a twist on the normal race, but not the norm), you'll always find something different when you race on "South Park Rally."
Also, to add to the madcap races is the ability to drive each race on any track (Sorta on "Muppet Race Mania"'s ability to mix and match the character's cars). So, if you are sick of driving around Big Gay Al's for the Valentine's Day race, just drive it in the sewer instead. It's that simple. The posibilities are endless (well, after you unlock all of the races and tracks, at least).
Another great addition that was absent on the N64 version of this game is the fact that some characters have extra skins. Chef can either look normal or drive around in the "Braveheart"-esque outfit he wore in the episode "Starvin Marvin". This is just an example of what to expect.
Overall, loyal reader, if you are a fan of "South Park" and if you are a fan of racing games (but are sick of the same old garbage from Crash, Mario, or NASCAR), then this game is for you. It hasn't really sold very well, so most places now have it on clearance, which makes the price just low enough for a cheap-o like me to buy it. But, honestly, you'll love this game.
Trust me on this one. You'll thank me later.
