Best Of All The South Park Games

This is definitely the best of all the South Park games, of course that's not saying a whole lot both Chef's Luv Shack and the original plain South Park just weren't that good, they suffered from a lot of load times and bad graphics. I bought this game because I love South Park and I have to try all of the games whether they suck or not, and I am glad I got this one.

The graphics in this game are still not that great though I think they are better than the other South Park games. The sound effects however are absolutely hilarious and I found myself racing again and again just to hear different characters, eventually the get repetitive but there are so many characters you can play that whenever one gets boring I just switch to another one. The control is fairly good, I don't know why many people seem to find it hard, though there is a brake turn that if you don't know about makes the game awfully hard to play.

There aren't a whole lot of tracks but there are several different versions of each race which you can play on any track which is different from many racers where there is only one race type. Granted some of them are similar to each other. For instance there is a Halloween race where you have to collect as much candy as possible before time runs out, but then there is also the Read A Book race where you have to collect 10 chickens before anyone else. This combination of tracks and different types of races makes this game a lot of fun. Moreover there is a battle mode as well like most racing games have where you can fight an opponent.

I think one of the coolest aspects of this game is all the stuff you have to do in order to unlock every character. Of course you can always win the championship without ever losing a credit, but that is probably nigh near impossible. That being said I did unlock every cheat within a week of buying this game playing about 2-3 hours every night. However that was with help from the web as to where the unlocks were. There is still plenty of replay value though because of the two player mode and the ability to try and beat the game with all the characters, since they each have different stats.

The learning curve for this game is also really nice. When I started I thought there was no way I would even beat the championship. Then beating the championship without ever losing the last trophy seemed impossible but slowly I beat each goal and had all the characters unlocked.

If you like this game I would also recommend Crash Team Racing, though I didn't like it as much it did seem a little more difficult and had more courses. In the end this is a must have for any South Park game and a pretty good racing game overall.
