Soul Caliber II: Simply Amazing

Soul Caliber II is a marvelous game for anyone who enjoys a fantasy fighting game. With system specific characters such as Link (Legend of Zelda) and Heihachi (Tekken), and many original characters, this game provides hours of entertainment and adventure. Some may think that this fighting game is just that, a boring old game where you just simply beat each other to a pulp. This is not the case for Soul Caliber II. This game has many secrets that must be unlocked and moves that must be learned. It may seem to take forever to unlock all the separate playing fields, characters and game types, etc. but it is well worth it. With each character come new, incredible moves to learn and secret weapons to unlock. Each weapon and move is unique to the character. The many weapons are amazing and have separate special effects. What a rush it is to finally unlock each character’s “soul caliber,” their ultimate weapon.
Aside from the game-play, the graphics and sound for this game are astounding. The detail put into each character, playing field, and even weapons add to the quality of this game. The music is epic-video game type music for all those who enjoy this genre, otherwise, just turn off the music and listen to your characters sounds as they fight each other. The battle noises are carried over from the first game, but are still wonderfully done. And what could be better then pushing a button to make some witty remark before that battle ensues.
Overall, this game is simply amazing and I would recommend it for any type of gamer. For the fighting gamers, this is a must have and for those who like other types of games, this is still well worth it.
