Fantastic min music player

Just bought it and used it today for the first time. I'm impressed. It's so lightweight, sounds great, comes with a G sensor which counts the miles, the steps and the calories you burn when you go running. It's brilliant. I've got an ipod 30gb which is not great for running as it's quite heavy and not really recommended since it's got moving parts.

It does take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with Sony's song management software, which is the only gateway to your player. Same thing with the player interface which is intuitive as far as basic functions are concerned - it's fairly easy to navigate between songs, artists, albums - but I had to read the manual for the more complex ones (like getting the FM radio to auto-tune the stations for instance or setting the player in shuffle mode).

The battery takes very little time to be fully charged (about 1 hour), and only 3 minutes of charging will set you up for 3 hours of listening. How cool is that?

For the audiophiles out there, you can play most file formats including MP3s, AAC, WMA, ATRAC3 etc. I would recommend Atrac as it takes less space for the same quality as MP3. I could even play Atrac lossless. Sony’s software allows you to get your mp3s converted to this format when copied to the player. It’s dead easy.

I can't recommend it more. This is the best piece of portable kit I've bought since the iPod.
