I picked this one up as a loaner as my bulb in my Sharp DT-100 was being replaced. I have to say that I was excited as the Sony unit was heralded as being way more technologically advanced than my DLP projector. Though the images projected were significantly larger (lack of a better word) I miss the clarity and sharpness of my Sharp unit. I think that DLP technology surpasses the LCD and I have NEVER gotten a rainbow effect as some may claim.

I do however see an advantage of the Sony's having the HDMI input; I haven't used it 'cause its a loaner.

In all I saved about $700-800 by purchasing the DLP and I do not regret it.
