I’m really disappointed by this phone. I had high hopes coming from a Sony Ericson p900i which was an excellent phone.

This things I like about the P1i:

.WIFI. I can sit in restaurant or cafe and catch up on email easily and cheaply. The version of Opera included is passable but I can seem to get away from the default start page.

.rocker keyboard. not a bad concept. learning but takes practice to be fast and accurate.

.Bluetooth. works well. Occasionally causes a restart.

."Today screen". keeps information in one place. This is a love and hate feature.

Things I don’t like:

.battery. I get just over one day of average use. Heavy use requires a charge during the day. which is fine if I'm near my desk.

.camera. Function is generally as follows: *click*... about a second later the shutter goes off... pictures are almost always fuzzy and the focus is poor. But on the plus side the flash is a neat LED module which you can use as a light if needed.

.UIQ3. One word. Disaster. everything takes seconds to happen. Which is fine on a PC but the end of the world on a mobile phone.

.contacts. Who is calling me? From what number? When you have a call on the phone it only displays the contact name and not the number calling. Did I mention the awful camera?

.SMS. When I open a new message to send a text I have to open message and then select SMS. SMS is the standard from text messaging. I don’t know anyone who sends only MMS... Who wrote this software?
