The Sony PC-105 is the updated version of the PC-101. I was looking around for a camera with good video quality (as good as can be expected with a 1-CCD), miniDV format, small package, and direct analog-digital pass-thru recording (which lets you convert all your old home movies to DVD). I found it in the PC-105. I compared this camera to the Canon Elura 50 which didn't seem to have the video quality and accurate color representation. The PC-105 has a few features which are unique and very useful. First is its new Hybrid LCD screen. To get through all the hype, basically this screen is very easy to see in bright daylight, and even better in the dark. The camera also lets you shoot in 16x9 mode to allow you to fill the screen on your new wide-screen. This works very well, and it actually adds extra pixels, and not simply blackbars some of the visible screen. The one and only gripe with this camera us its zoom button which is too small, too sensitive, and very difficult to use. Otherwise, I think this is an excellent choice.
