Epinions Shake It! Just don't scratch your precious discs!

by  nicholaschin,  Jul 14, 2002
Pros: Batteries last a very long time.
Cons: A bit expensive
The Bottom Line: Its great but a little expensive. I recommend it for people who want none of the cheap stuff or people who have high end sound equipment with optical in.
Review: This discman is quite slim. Its about the size of a CD only slightly bigger and oval shaped. Although quite small compared to other 'discmen' or discmans its hard to hold and you will need somthing like cargo pants to bring it around. I can't tell you...

Epinions A cut above the rest...

by  uk_gizmo,  Mar 15, 2003
Pros: Excellent sound quality, really long battery life, reliable CDR/CDRW replay, shock protection that works
Cons: Pricey, odd supplementary battery pack, no MP3 CD replay, some transport noise
The Bottom Line: If you need a truly pocketable CD player and you don't need MP3 replay this player could be for you. A true pocket hi-fi.
Review: The D-EJ1000 has been around for a while and is one of Sony's top-flight personal CD player models. The first thing that strikes you about this unit is its diminutive size. Being noticeably smaller than most other models it is a mere 14mm thick and...

Epinions Sleek looks

by  Uxorious,  Sep 8, 2002
Pros: Super small (yet sturdy). Good shock resistance. Optical out.
Cons: Pricey.
The Bottom Line: My little sister loves it (and I was sad to let it go). If I was to buy myself a CD-man this would definitely be it!
Review: I gotta say I love this MP3 player. I bought it because my little sister was dying to get one (she's all into the whole design thing, and since this is the smallest and best looking CD player out there it's something she was dying to get).

I...

Epinions World’s smallest, lightest, and thinnest Portable CD Walkman® Player

by  JhawkGoddess,  Jun 14, 2003
Pros: Long battery life, rechargeable batteries, slim design, remote
Cons: Is easily susceptible to skipping due to slimness of the player, cost
The Bottom Line: Buy it. It not only looks cool, but it completely functional and a solid player.

by  thetaylor310,  Mar 4, 2003
Pros: small and compact design; typical Sony quality
Cons: pricey
The Bottom Line: Perfect for travelling audiophiles that like stylish design and compactness
Review: On a whim whilst visiting Frys Electronics (huge megastore out here in the LA County region) with my New Years money, i decided that i wanted the most state-of-the-art CD player i could buy with around $300 to spend

Frys has a great selection...

Epinions Disappointing.

by  LetItRut,  Jun 1, 2003
Pros: Long battery life, slim size, excellent anti-skip
Cons: Sound quality, can't read some factory-pressed CDs, reqiures remote for some functions
The Bottom Line: Unless you're planning to use it with a dedicated headphone amplifier, there are better choices than the Sony D-EJ1000.
Review: Out of curiosity, I purchased a Sony D-EJ1000 from Tweeter, at a price of $200 plus tax. Initially, I was attracted by its ultra-slim design, ultra-long battery life and a metal lid. But after over a year with the CD player I was ultimately disappointed...

Epinions the Sony flakeman

by  snowcat,  Jan 7, 2003
Pros: light, pretty
Cons: fragile, frequent defects, mediocre sound, expensive, very bad after service
The Bottom Line: a lemon
Review: I regret the day i bough this piece of junk. Totally unreliable, frail, exhibits bizarre and unpredictable behavior, first battery charge last forever, subsequent charges last a day. sometimes stops playing for no reason, sometimes refuses to charge....
