Author's Review
My favorite thing to do when I come home at night is pop a cd in my discman and go for a brisk, one hour long walk.
I have been doing this for a few years now, and I find that it relaxes me, and motivates me for the next day.
I have gone through three cd players in four years because I wear them out. I take my cd player everywhere with me.
So, naturally I want one that will last through the mileage that I put on it every day. I had a Sony (it's the only brand i'll buy) and it was an expensive, wonderful car cd player. I enjoyed it for a long time. One, day it mysteriously started skipping and dying on me. I was angered. I had to go buy a new one. Well, being broke, I didn't have the money, then.
I mentioned it to my sister and my mom, and with a look from one to the other, my mom grimaced and said, "do you want one of your christmas presents early?"
You see, someone had dropped my cd player and it had hit the ground hard enough to knock the batteries out of it.
But, the cd player kept playing, even if it's performance was not all that great after the mysterious incident occurred.
My mom went upstairs and brought down the D-E307CK.
I feel that this is also a good cd player, though it is a level below what I had prior.
I am pleased with the sound quality and skip protection of this model. I think that it's buttons are easy to find in a dark, moving car, and the volume control is smooth, so I don't blow out an ear-drum.
The cons are that I still haven't found out whether or not there is a resume play mode. It bugs me that if my car stalls, I have to start it all over again.
Other than that, I am happy with my would-be christmas present.
Sony makes high quality disman's, I have always been pleased.
