Good cd player until it starts to die

I bought this cd player probably a little over a year ago. It was cheap and made by Sony so I thought, why not? Until a few months ago it was one of the best electronic equipment purchases I've ever made - everything was great. But over the last few months it has begun to just randomly stop playing. Sometimes it is because it gets jostled, but sometimes it just stops playing for reasons I cannot figure out. And when this happens, the resume does not work, so when I hit play, the cd picks up from the beginning. This is kind of annoying, and I will probably buy a new cd player this summer. But until a few months ago, I loved this thing.
