by  nconger,  Nov 8, 2008
Pros: Easy to teach remote codes from multiple remotes. Very durable.
Cons: No lighted keypad.
The Bottom Line: This is a great and easy to use learning remote that will learn even the most obscure codes.

Epinions Good choice if you have other remotes it can learn from

by  BlairMartin,  Jul 22, 2006
Pros: Well made, nice button layout, versatile IF you have other remotes for teaching
Cons: No display, can't handle gaming boxes (not tested), can only learn from existing remotes.
The Bottom Line: It's a very good choice, provided you understand the limits of its programming capabilities.
Review: Choosing a remote for a collection of audio, video, and gaming devices is not an easy matter. You not only have to consider what types and brands you want it to control. You have to think of how much effort you will need to devote to programming it, and ...

Pros: GREAT! uses all devices! actually learns their functions! PRICE--who needs a harmony?
Cons: none at all!
Review: I didn't know there was something like this out there until I needed it! With all the new brands of flat panel tvs out there, this is a great choice so that you can combine all those remotes into one. This thing was a lifesaver--or at least it kept me ...

Epinions Cool Technology

by  pokey_chan,  Jun 4, 2008
Pros: True learning remote. Simplifies device usage. Good design.
Cons: Time-consuming to program, but worth it.
Review: Over the past year we have been fortunate enough to acquire a new LCD TV, HD satellite box, and home theater system - but all are of different brands. Each device came with its own "universal" style remote, but after entering code after code after code ...

Epinions Excellent remote for the price

by  wrighttrailers,  Jan 29, 2008
Pros: Excellent value Learning function works well Large number of components supported
Cons: Few useable specialty buttons, and the ones there have useless descriptions Clunky feel
The Bottom Line: I would recommend it for anyone looking for a good value on a learning remote. A great deal for anyone not wanting to remote for pricing in the 3 digits
Review: I decided to purchase this remote after deciding I didn't want to spend $100-200 for a Logitech Harmony. All in all, it has turned out to be an excellent remote for the price. After reading other reviews, I didn't even bother to use the built in ...

by  alan7834,  Apr 23, 2008
Pros: Easy to set up. "Learns" from other remotes quickly. Volume and channel button are large.

Pros: Works
Cons: No On-Off support. The cd changer never had it.
Review: I purchased this device for use with a CDP-C335 Sony cd changer - only. edit The Sony cd player I own, CPD-C335, evidently, does not have a native remote on-off function. I purchased a used original remote. Works great, except for not ...
