Epinions Bang for your Buck

by  shield12,  Jun 22, 2002
Pros: Many formats, anti-shock, customizeable, looks cool!
Cons: No AM/FM radio
The Bottom Line: The SP90 offers enough features for all but those who have hundreds of thousands of songs. And for $80, the deal couldn't be sweeter.
Review: This is the first and last MP3/CD player I will ever need.

Formats:

The SP90 accesses the CD just like a hard drive would. It recognizes CD Audio, WMA, MP3, and even MP3 PRO files. MP3 files works very well at all bitrates....

Epinions Great Little Number: SP90

by  ldrewc,  May 28, 2002
Pros: Great Sound, MP3 Naming, Easy to use.
Cons: Regular CD's. Built as and MP3 player first. Is a plus for me.
The Bottom Line: Got one yet? No? What the heck you waiting for??? If you want features up the wazoo look at the SP250 ReoVolt.
Review: For the money I don't think this one can be beat. You Get 120 seconds of anti-skip while playing MP3's. Let me tell you I don't think that it could be made to skip and I have tried everything just less than a drop to the floor. If you plan on listening...

by  kitty_7,  May 28, 2002
Pros: Plays mp-3, cd, and wma. 15 hour battery life. Easy to use. Large LCD.
Cons: Price maybe a lot to some on a budget, so search around for deals.
The Bottom Line: It plays a variety of formats (mps, wma reg, cd) and is easy to use. The price is great. Great as a replacement cd player or a new one.
Review: I bought the RioVolt because I was looking for an easy to use and portable cd player to replace my older Sony while commuting to and from college.

The RioVolt SP90 is simple to use. You can use it to play regular cd's, mp-3 cd's (fitting...

Epinions RioVolt SP90 a great and versital digital player!

by  dcurleyut,  Jan 12, 2003
Pros: It plays a variety of bitrates, changeing the quality/quantity ratio.
Cons: It only comes with headphones and batteries, all extras are sold seperatly.
The Bottom Line: I give the RioVolt SP90 5 Stars. It has all the options that you could ever, ever want in a CD player.
Review: Do you have a huge CD case sitting in your car or in your bookbag? Do you get tired of switching CDs as often as every 10 minutes? There is a solution that I have found, the RioVolt SP90. The RioVolt SP90, a lower end model in the RioVolt series by...

Epinions Great CD player

by  chrisfrye11,  Feb 28, 2003
Pros: quality sound, nice looks
Cons: no backlight, bad skip protection
The Bottom Line: Buy it if you don't mind the small bad points, but don't if you want to get thousands of songs on it.
Review: This CD player is great. You will never have to buy more than 10 CD-Rs ever again. You burn the songs as a data CD, so you get about 200 songs per CD. Also, the sound quality is very high. The songs only skip if it is reading from the CD, and even then...

Epinions RioVolt SP90

by  dhite,  Nov 6, 2002
Pros: Battery Life, Good Price
Cons: Loud, Load Time
The Bottom Line: Definately buy this MP3 player. You will never need another player!
Review: This was my first CD/MP3 Player. I love this thing!!! The battery life is about 20 hours, only about 5 less then normal CD players. The fact that you can get as many songs as will fit on a CD is awesome, and it will still play normal cd's.

Epinions One of the best low-end players

by  rotj,  Jul 13, 2002
Pros: Price, features, battery life, format support, unofficial firmware updates
Cons: Cheapo headphones; lack of AC adapter, backlight, and remote; button design
The Bottom Line: Very good for a low priced mp3/WMA/CD player. Easy unofficial firmware upgrades for reduced gaps, m3u support, resume, etc.
Review: The SP90 is a fine sub-100 dollar mp3/CD player. It is approximately the same player as the Rio Volt SP100, only without an LCD backlight, AC adapter, remote, and external ESP switch. Note that all the SonicBlue mp3/CD players are rebranded versions of...

Epinions SP90: Great MP3-CD Player

by  midknight2k3,  Sep 17, 2002
Pros: Good sound, many features; to me, a portable perfection.
Cons: Prone to skipping.
The Bottom Line: Good MP3-CD player; skips easily.
Review: MY STORY My old Sony D-E220 recently stopped working because of a laser problem. I took it to the repair store. They said that they were 95% sure that it was the laser that needed replacement. That would cost $80-$90, almost twice what I had paid ...

by  jerebear44,  Mar 10, 2003
Pros: 150 or more songs on one CD
Cons: Load time, dancing display
The Bottom Line: An excellent choice music lovers on the go.
Review: Overall, I am very satisfied with this product. I bought it for my workouts in the gym, typically spending a good two hours lifting weights and it is a real pain to switch out compact discs in my o-so-old player or listen to the same songs repeatedly....

Epinions a good value for mp3/wma player

by  ttuong,  Sep 16, 2002
Pros: great mp3/wma support, nice navigation, descent display. upgradable firmware(unofficial)
Cons: Battery life isn't good. motor is alittle noisy. kind of ugly. thicker then average.
The Bottom Line: Buy it, upgrade it, you won't be disapointed.
Review: the sp90 is basically the same as the sp100 without the in-line remote and less the backlight lcd. (I have both)... Both unit draw alot of power from the batteries. compared to my sony j715. For instance, once the unit quites playing due to low battery,...
