Epinions Great Mp3 Wma Cd Player

by  x___2005,  Mar 6, 2004
Pros: It has very nice battery life and The Player itself is thin and simple.
Cons: Hard to get attachments (ie ac power adaptor, remote)
Review: I think the Rio Volt Sp150 is one of the best purchases you can make. It is better then the new mp3 player or even an Ipod, because those might not support WMA. Also it is faster to download the songs to a cd-r, which can hold 700mb of music ...

Epinions One of the Best CD/MP3/WMA Players on the market

by  xmetalfanx,  Mar 26, 2003
Pros: Battery Life, Backlight, resume feature, large navigation screen
Cons: No Search Option, and a few other MINOR details, doesn't seem to last for some
The Bottom Line: The RIO Volt is not perfect, but the “problems” it has are minor, and even those are being upgraded/fixed with the newer models coming out.
Review: Note: This review is based on my experience with the SP-90 and SP-150 with the Rio Volt. Some models have less, some have more… you will have to carefully look to see your getting the features you want in the particular model you are ...

Epinions A solid MP3-CD player

by  yuuichi,  Aug 8, 2003
Pros: 11 large character x 3 line display, backlight, configurable
Cons: mediocre resume, no AC adapter with it or available from manufacturer's site
The Bottom Line: A solid player in all aspects; well worth the money ($59.99 closeout from Circuit City and a $30 MIR)
Review: On my quest for a good MP3-CD player, I first tried Sony's DNF610. While the ATRAC3 made for good co ...

Epinions Rio SP150, Overall Satisfied

by  dblefevre,  Dec 15, 2003
Pros: Functionable, good sound, good display, good ergonomics
Cons: Bad resume feature, bad rewind and fforward, slow loading time.
Review: For the function it performs, I have been very happy with the mp3-cd player. I like the display; the folders are displayed nicely and navigating through your files is very user friendly. However, there are a few minor setbacks. One, the resume feature ...

Epinions Good Player for the Money Indeed

by  gospeltech,  Apr 17, 2004
Pros: Great Price Good Features ID3 Tag info Fair Battery life EQ.
Cons: Volume should be louder. Cover does not open up far enough No added accessories.
Review: The SP150 has gotten a lot of undeserved bad press/user comments. For the price, you get a decent MP3/CD player that even plays WMA files. Using WMA, I was able to get 11 CDs on 1 CDR which the SP150 played flawlessly. The Display is great considering ...

Epinions A decent product, but doesn't stand out from the crowd

by  rwherrick,  Feb 28, 2003
Pros: All controls and display on front panel
Cons: Poor resume feature
The Bottom Line: I was disappointed, but others just looking for a basic MP3 player will be happy.
Review: I bought the player after a lot of research (not enough it turned out) for two purposes:
1) to listen to audio books in the car
2) to listen to MP3 music mix CDs
A friend of mine had bought one of Rio's earlier models, the SP100, for...

Epinions SP150-Decent until it broke.

by  emonerd,  Mar 1, 2003
Pros: Price, easy to use
Cons: Durability, loading time, battery usage, size
The Bottom Line: Don't buy it unless you feel like taking a gamble on a flimsy product that can break with just one small drop.
Review: I want to say from the get-go that my experience with the SP150 was good until about last Monday. It performed decently, with about 7 hours (rough) battery life from a set of AA batteries. Complaints would have included INTERMINABLE wait times and...

Epinions Great sound from WMAs, but has bugs, trouble reading some CDs.

by  birdwhistle,  Sep 7, 2003
Pros: Above average sound if you add good headphones. No remote. Looks cheap. Good battery life.
Cons: Has tracking problems with some CDs. Major software/hardware bugs. Firmware upgrades not available. Buttons freeze.
The Bottom Line: I do not recommend the RioVolt SP150. Buy where you can return it easily, if you try it. There are more up-to-date models for under $60.
Review: When it works, the Rio Volt SP-150 sounds very good, especially with a good set of headphones. However, the one I got only worked, somewhat, for a day or two before it started acting stranger and stranger. The biggest problem is that the volume control bu ...

Epinions Please read before even thinking about buying

by  lazzspazz,  Apr 30, 2004
Pros: Nothing.
Cons: Bulky design, skips constantly, doesn't work half of the time, horrible firmware, horrible technical support.
Review: I bought the Rio Volt SP150 about 3-4 months ago and I have had nothing but problems. It started out fine where it would recognize CDs and play them accordingly. However, after about a week or so, everything went downhill from there. It skips EVERY ...
