Review: When I first got a digital SLR, my brother gave me some great advice. He told me to wait a few months before buying any new lenses. At the time, I had a Sigma 28-90 and a Nikkor 35-135. Those should be enough for a while. Eventually, I’d figure ...

Pros: Excellent resolution, build quality, and focusing speed. Great handling on D200 body.
Cons: Slow max. aperature means lighting is critical to get good images
The Bottom Line: Great WIDE angle lens for landscapes, architecture, and indoor shooting. Excellent build quality, fast focusing, and easy to use.
Review: The Sigma 10-20mm I am evaluating is one setup for use on a Nikon DX format Digital SLR. The lens I purchased came well packaged with a very nice custom case, and a small lens hood. Overall, a very quality appearing package. This lens is primarily ...

Pros: This is a great product at a great price.
Cons: Edge to edge sharpness can sometimes be an issue.
The Bottom Line: Focal legnth expands your flexability and Sigma is a great value.
Review: I have always been a glass snob. Never have I shot anything but Nikon glass because THAT is what sees the picture, the camera only remembers it. That being said, my wife has a Nikon 12-24 and we often shoot together and sometimes need the same lens. A ...

Pros: Snappy, contrasty, well made, well designed.
Cons: Slow at maximum aperture.
The Bottom Line: A wonderful lens at an unbelievably wide end of the zoom range. Sharp and compact. Hold it and fall in love.
Review: I've been using the 10-20mm HSM Nikon mount version of the Sigma super wide zoom and really have come to treat it as my favorite lens. Here's why: 1) The wide end at 10mm is really extraordinary, and if there is a slight degradation of quality in the ...

Pros: Very sharp. Well made.
Cons: None.
Review: I bought this lens mainly for taking pictures of family occasions indoors. But after using it and seeing how incredibly sharp it is, I now also use it for landscape photography. I was originally considering the Canon 10-22mm lens but it was too expensive ...

Pros: Great value for money, good sharpness, light
Cons: Slightly over-exposed on all occasions.
Review: Brought this lens for my Nikon D300 after extensive comparison and study with Nikon 12-24 and other similar third party lenses. This lens is truly value for money and it stretches 2 mm before on the wide side. Went to the shop and found 2 models. Tested ...

Pros: Fantastic wide field of view.
Cons: You will get edge distortion at full zoom no surprise there.
Review: I have like most others the Canon 17-85 IS lens but wanted something wider for building and landscape shots. After reading around I decided to try this lens. I've had many Sigma lenses over the years and generally been quite happy with them plus ...

Pros: Sigma is an old name, cheaper than canon glass
Cons: focus and zoom rings reversed from canon lenses.
The Bottom Line: Sigma has been around a long time, the EX DC line is as fast as canon consumer lenses (focusing). Cheaper than canon lenses and hoods, cases are included.
Review: I started looking for a lens with more low end awhile ago. My primary lens that I use most of the time is a Canon 17-85 IS, that is the perfect lens for what I use it for 90% of the time but sometimes, if the action is really close even 17mm with the 1.6 ...
