Fun for everyone

I bought this product for my daughter who is almost 5. She is a huge shrek fan and loves to play video games. I love the fact that Shrek 2 for playstation 2 is rated E for everyone. I like that she can easily control the characters and the game is constantly instructing her on how to do things at each check point. She can easily figure out how to move the characters and switch between the characters. (Because there are four at once and if playing alone you can switch between the characters.) The thing that most attracted me to this game other than the rating was the fact that up to four players can play at the same time. This makes it easy for me and her to play or for her friends to come over and play without having to wait for their turn and get bored. That is rare to find in E games lately. Also if she does kill her character or fail then she is automatically put back to the beginning of the level instead of collecting lives and me having to restart the game 50 times in 20 minutes.
The thing that i don't like so much about the game is that on some parts of the game there was no explaination on how to do what it wanted (like keep these mice from dying... in level 2.) She was becoming frustrated and didn't know what it was asking her to do and frankly neither did i. There is a lot of switching back and forth from character to character because each character has different powers or abilities. Each player has a role in getting through the level and so it can be a little confusing at times. Four characters can be a lot to switch back and forth from. However over all it's fun and easy to control for my five year old.
