Epinions Great Little Rice Cooker

by  spacemouse,  Jul 21, 2008
Pros: Works great, not messy, affordable, great for a one- or two-person household, easy to use.
Cons: I wish the lid were not made of glass...
The Bottom Line: If you need a small rice cooker, don't have much counter space, and are on a budget, buy this cooker. It works as advertised, and is a breeze to clean.
Review: I went to a local Asian superstore, T&T Supermarket, and had a nice chat with one of the store workers about rice cookers. I was looking at the Tiger 3 cup model, which was $139.00 (Canadian). He showed me the Sanyo, which was $39.00. I said, what's ...

by  Shecket,  Aug 16, 2002
Pros: Easy to use, rice comes out perfect.
Cons: Delicate surface, tricky to clean.
The Bottom Line: Fluffy. Delicious. Perfect. Great rice from a great rice cooker.
Review: It doesn't get much simpler than this. Put in 1 part rice for two parts water, plug it in, flip the switch, and check back later.

You need not worry about burning the rice, because this machine changes to "warm" mode once the rice is done...

Epinions My First Rice Cooker

by  kitchennazi,  Jan 16, 2002
Pros: All you need in a basic rice cooker. Set it up and do something else.
Cons: Fairly thin inner pot. Cannot use steamer and cook rice at the same time.
The Bottom Line: Good, basic, unit that I don't have any second thoughts about getting, unless you find the same features from a reputable manufacturer for much less, this is a pretty good buy.
Review: I felt as though I were admitting that I couldn't boil water, but I finally caved in and bought a rice cooker. Perhaps comforted by the fact that every Asian person I knew who cooked owned one. I checked some web sites, read a review in Cooks...

by  sofashopper,  Feb 4, 2007
Pros: Removable cord, glass lid with steam hole
Cons: Non-stick coating in cooked rice, can't cook rice and steam veggies at same time
The Bottom Line: Use it if you can avoid scratching the bottom.
Review: I loved this rice cooker when I first got it, but after 4 years I need to replace it. I eat rice regularly (at least once a week) and like non-stick rice cookers since they are easy to clean. The spoon that comes with the rice cooker is plastic that ...
