Takes the Guesswork Out of Cooking Rice

Before I had the Salton Rice Cooker I could not get the rice to come out right. Usually it was sticky and the wrong consistency. Plus I had to stand by the stove the whole time to make sure that the water didn't boil over and cause a kitchen fire! That all changed when I received the rice cooker.

First of all the cooker comes with a couple of handy items: a plastic rice spoon, a steamer basket, and a measuring cup. All I have to do is fill up the measuring cup with rice, add it to the cooker, and then pour in the required amount of water. Then I plug it in, and push a button. I like the fact that you can walk away from it, get other chores done, and the cooker turns off when the rice is done. It couldn't be easier!!

The only thing that is annoying is the fact that steam spurts out the top and leaves a wet film on the nearby surfaces. So you have to clear the area before cooking.

But, it is still worth being able to make restaurant quality rice with consistently good results. It is affordable, and easy to store. I keep mine right in the box it came in. It helps to clean the rice cooker right after use, so it doesn't get stuck on.
