At first I was skeptical about this title because of its last title, Road Rash 3D, I thought it would be all racing but to my delight, the rashing is back. Throughout the action, solid controls kept me in the heat of battle. It is Dual-analog compatible but you can't configure it so you can accelerate and brake with one of the analog sticks, which totally sucks. Jailbrak comes on strong, however, with a garage full of cool new ways to play. You can play as the cops, or you can team up with the use of a side car. Finally, the standard career mode has been streamlined to focus on your rise through the ranks of one of two biker gangs. Instead of getting money, winning unlocks new bikes and weapons and frees some guy from jail.
Visually, this game shows a colorful, cartoon-like look that suits the action perfectly. Tons of animations, like windmilling blows with the club, create just the right atmosphere. Along with lots of slang talk, they also keep the theme with a garage-band soundtrack that has just the right thrasher feel.
