Long Time

This ice cream maker was relatively easy to assemble and use. The motor is quite loud though. Following the recipes (it basically recommends custard base recipes only!!), and letting them cool for 4 to 5 hours prior to making, resulted in the ice cream not freezing. The box says you have ice cream in 1/2 an hour and after running machine for 1 1/2 hours we chose to freeze the ice cream the remainder of the way in the freezer. This only makes 4 cups of ice cream. My kids were greatly disappointed after waiting 24 hours for the canister to freeze, and then 5 hours for the solution to cool, and then overnight for the ice cream to freeze.

Will try again.. And will cool solution for recommended 24 hours given in the assembly instructions and not in the recipe instructions provided.
