I am tired of reading all of the negitive reviews about RRV. This is much better than everyone says. RRV is said to have "lost" the originality that R4 had. But V brings the Ridge Racer series back to its roots: Arcade Racing. Don't expect real-life physics, this is an arcade racer, and its sole purpose is to entertain by being wild and fast.
Graphics 4.5/5 : The PS2 has better looking games out. Do not mis understand me, these graphics are GREAT. When you're racing at night, you can even see the lights on the dashboard!!!!!!
Sound 3.5/5 : The music is pretty much unchanged from the past Ridge Racers. Original Techno mixes blast through your speakers while playing this. The downside of 5's sound is the announcer. He soulds like he just learned English.
Control 5/5 : I LOVE the control in this game. The Dual Shock 2 makes blazing around corners a breeze. Weather you choose Drift (can spin out, but has better control) or Drift (hard to spin out, but max speed is not as high as Drift), you will find yourself racing like the pros.
Value 4/5 : If you like racers, you will LOVE this. There are about 15 cars you can obtain. There is even a guest appearance by PAC-MAN and is ghost buddies.
