by  minhtx,  Nov 19, 2003
Pros: Drop dead gorgeous picture, great sound (HDTV) All kinds of inputs, full of features
Cons: Learning remote refuses some codes Makes you despise VCR and Analog TV
The Bottom Line: Get one. No better way today to experience HDTV
Review: Bought the HDTV HDLP50W151 at a local appliances chain, Conn's, for $3150, same as the best internet advertised price - currently $2999 plus delivery. The TV is gorgeous itself, and thin (16" deep). Big 50 inch screen, surrounded by a black band in the ...

Pros: Technologically complete, picture perfect, no table-top boxes.

The Bottom Line: Great picture! No boxes!! Very easy to operate!!! A real upgrade in all aspects of a TV.
Review: I have been looking to buy an HDTV for some time and had never left as confused in my life as I did in this case. After a thorough research and bulletin-board readups, I decided to buy RCA HD61LPW165. I ordered one but felt cold-feet. It was ...

Epinions Best HD set I've owned

by  sportznut,  Nov 29, 2003
Pros: Very good contrast and great grey scale tracking. Excellent detail. Great cabinet cosmetics.
Cons: Poor remote control design. Ugly matching stand. no Anti-glare on the screen.
The Bottom Line: This is not the first HD set we have owned but it is certainly the best one and in my opinion the best picture in HD at this time.
Review: Have had this set in my home for 3 months now. First time ever I have seen football on HDTV look this real!! Have compared many rear LCD sets to this DLP model before I got it. Hitachi and Sony Grand Wega had no detail in the blacks, Panasonic had the ...

Pros: Sleek design, very good built in HD tuner, good price.

by  tahmeroo,  Oct 31, 2005
Pros: EXCELLENT Picture, thin size, lightweight. No glare or burn in.

Epinions Boundaries with Limitations

by  vandalz,  Apr 20, 2004
Pros: Gorgeous and detailed images
Cons: Low viewing angle
The Bottom Line: There are better sets out there, but if you like RCA already, then you shouldn't be discouraged.
Review: RCA, who has now been around for fifty ( 50 ) years, has finally taken a step into the Digital Light Processing market, better known as DLP. Imagine television monitors that, when you look at it, you think you are actually there! Now that is ...

Epinions Lamp frequently needs replaced and poor customer service.

by  ephemeradiva,  Sep 16, 2005
Pros: The picture was good when the television worked.
Cons: Lamp needs frequent replacement. Pathetic customer service support.
The Bottom Line: Money is too hard to come by to waste it on a problematic Scenium. If there were customer service backing it, that might help.
Review: We bought the product because the picture WAS great. Purchased in February of 2004. Within 90 days, the screen had a 6 inch patch at the corner blacked out and growing. The lamp had to be replaced ALREADY! The item took nearly a month to be received ...

by  cicorias,  Jan 3, 2005
Pros: none
Cons: Need I say more. Stay away from RCA
The Bottom Line: Stay Way
Review: TV is a 50" DLP Projection Screen cost of $2,800. TV has 1 year warranty "In Home Service" - that is they come to your home. Purchased on 9/4/2004. Problem with TV in that it just shuts down & restarts on it's own. A service person from an ...

Epinions Crap in a big Box

by  batmmannn,  Apr 2, 2008
Pros: Looked good for about 40 hours then it became a $1500 fix.
Cons: Crap!~
Review: Purchased from Wal Mart, got about 40 hours out of it then let it sit in the game room for about a year. Then the color wheel crapped out and the extended warranty would not replace the TV because I bought it on sale so now I am out a 50inch TV and I ...
