Author's Review

My son started out with the pokemon blue when it first came out, before all the cards and stuffed animals. He loved it then and still loves it. The kids all get together with their gameboys and trade their pokemon. I say it's a learning game because they have to read what each character has and decide what they can do with out and what they need to make them stronger. He even bought another gameboy so if there weren't any friends around he could trade with himself. The price of all the cards and other pokemon things is the bad part of it all. Since it has become so popular the price seems to have gone way up. Overall the gameboy series of the pokemon games is still a great set of games.
