Pokemon Blue

Pros:  peace, quiet, tranquility, lack of eight year old noise in my house

Cons:  it's a video game, and I don't approve of them!

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

I have never played this, being 27 and therefore at least ten years old to understand anything other than Tetris (which I'm rather good at, since we're on the subject).

I finally gave in and bought my eight-year-old son a Gameboy for his birthday in August and gave him the choice of games to go with it. He picked Pokemon Blue (no surprise there - he's eight!) and a couple of others which are probably still in their boxes.

This game has to be fantastic - it kept him deadly quiet for the whole of a NINE-HOUR flight from London to Orlando, even with the prospect of two weeks at Disney World ahead of him. It kept him quiet on buses, in queues, on the flight back (only eight hours in the jetstream), waiting for luggage in the airport, you name it. Three weeks later, he is still eager to get homework done straight after school so he can get back to it. These things have their uses...

So if someone would care to fill me in on what all the fuss is about I might have a go myself!!
