Great citrus juicer

I I first bought this juicer as a Christmas gift from Target for my boyfriend's mom, because my boyfriend really loves fresh squeezed orange juice. I did do quite a bit of research about the citrus juicer before i decided on this Philips 2752. Unlike the Philips, most of all other juicer under $50 in the market weren't very powerful and didn't look very sturdy (all made entirely from plastic and I read in internet newsgroups that they are less durable).

I host a brunch party almost every Saturday morning for 6 to 8 people, and every time I borrowed this juice from my boyfriend's mom to make fresh squeezed orange juice. This machine is great!! it really squeezed out every drop of juice from the oranges leaving literally only the peel. The trick is to squeeze it softly at the beginning to center the orange and then rotate your wrist (so you get the sides of the orange)apply a bit more pressure towards the end. This machine gets the job done quickly, too. For each brunch I usually squeeze 9 lbs of oranges, and it takes only about 10 - 15 minutes, leaving me more time to bake the scones, cinnamon rolls, egg frittatas and make pancakes. Clean up is also a snap. All 3 pieces that sits on top of the motor can be removed separately. Just rinse them with water, and you are done. I also tried to put the metal filter and the citrus press in the dish washer and i had no problems with that.
The only inconvenience is that the juicer does not store any juice so I have to constantly pour the juice from a glass to the jar. However the drip-stop spout design prevented the juice from dripping while I transferred the juice from glass to the jar, so overall it was not a big problem.

I really love this juicer, I'm thinking of buying another one just like it for myself so that I don't have to borrow it every weekend! I originally paid 49 dollars for it last year, however I just checked target.com and they reduce the price to 39! so all you citrus juice lovers out there, if you haven't got this juicer now is the time to get it! believe me you will not regret it.
