Epinions Hands down, the best point and shoot I've owned

by  datagirl7,  Mar 30, 2001
Pros: Sturdy. Great zoom range & picture quality, easy to use, great features, remote control
Cons: So many different types of flash, I get confused
The Bottom Line: The perfect camera. Drop it and it doesn't break. Excellent pictures. Lots of features. My favorite camera ever.
Review: When my old camera suddenly started taking slightly blurry pictures, I dreaded the search for a new one. I had had that camera for 8 years and it had taken many great pictures that I had blown up and displayed in my home. But now everything was blurry,...

Epinions Idiot-cam not just for idiots.

by  DrMojoRisn,  Jan 21, 2000
Pros: 28-90mm zoom, excellent picture quality, great features
Cons: not as dynamic as an SLR
Review: Any way you look at it, this is a fantastic camera. My family owns three. This camera is very easy to use. Most of the time it's just point-and-shoot. But this camera is also packed with features that are also easy to use.

The photo...

Epinions Amazing pictures, versatile, and easy to use!

by  wolper,  Dec 13, 1999
Pros: Many options, great pictures
Cons: Some controls difficult to use
Review: This camera is perfect for someone who wants (some of) the versatility of an SLR but is just starting out, wants something a bit smaller and easier, or needs a good backup/travel camera. The ability to override the camera's manual exposure setting (a...

Epinions Excellent wide angle camera

by  makav,  Feb 1, 2000
Pros: extra-wide angle
Cons: small viewfinder
Review: For a point and shoot zoom, the Pentax IQZoom 928 date camera is an excellent choice for high performance wide angle photography. It has an ultra compact ergonomic design, making it perfect for travel, and a wide angle, 28mm-90mm power zoom lens. You can...

Epinions Not perfect but...

by  towndog,  Dec 4, 2000
Pros: Zoom range
Cons: Picture quality
Review: I bought this model primarily because of the zoom range of wide angle to telephoto (28 to 90mm). I only found three P&S cameras starting with a 28mm wide angle focal length. I have no regrets in choosing this zoom range as it is very versatile for...

Epinions Great camera, but....

by  JohnShuster,  May 6, 2000
Pros: Good sharp pics, easy to use
Cons: Spotty performance at 28mm setting
Review: I really like my Pentax 928. Good sharp multicoated lens delivers contrasty, flare free pictures. I have been disappointed with the lens' performance at its widest 28mm zoom setting. I get vignetting at the edges of the slides I shoot and sometimes...
