Pros: Amazing sound, low power consumption, sturdy speaker connectors, features, price
Cons: Could look better, no HDMI switching
The Bottom Line: I am stunned by the sound quality of this receiver. The XR55 is insanely cheap, has lots of useful features and amazing sound quality. I highly recommend it!

Pros: Small size, great sound - crisp and clear, easy to use
Cons: Digital amp not as 'warm' sounding as traditional amps
The Bottom Line: If you want a great moderately price 7.1 home theater amp this is it.

Epinions Finally, I realized what I have

Pros: Outstanding sound quality,tons of AV input/output, lots of features.
Cons: REMOTE CONTROLLER, rather big footprint, hard to read onscreen display.
The Bottom Line: If you want a receiver that costs less than $2k, XR55 is the one you must consider.
Review: I was not so happy with my Onkyo setup for a while. Even with better speakers, I was missing something, at least that was my feeling. I mean there was nothing wrong with the set up, but there was lack of liveliness somewhere. So suddenly, one nice day ...
