Author's Review
I'm not some of those who get on here and seem to write reviews like they were copied and pasted from some review board/forum. What I can tell you is that my only experience is based on whatever researched I've done before deciding on which smartphone to purchase.
I chose the Palm Treo 750 mainly because it was the newiest thing offered by my provider (Cingular, and don't believe the slogan for Raising The Bar, it's more like "so much for raising the bar)
The phone quality is actually very good. I'm able to hear the other person very well and clear. The other person on the line has told me that they hear me just fine. My bluetooth seems to work much better than in my other phones I've had.
All the other gadgets/toys that this little puppy has is a bit too much for me to learn in one day. As the days go by, I seem to learn more about the Treo. I read and hear many people complain about the keyboard.......you've gotta be kidding me........it's not a keyboard from your computer. People wanted a smartphone that's easy and small enough to carry and now they have the balls to complain about its' keyboard not being large enough. Here's a thought, carry your keyboard in your backpack and plug it in to your smartphone....lol
I've owned a Tungsten E in the past so much of its progams were familiar to me. I especially love the fact that it is a touchscreen. That alone, was the only reason why I didn't purchase the Blackberry.
The keyboard again.......another reason why I wanted the Treo was because, unlike my cellphone where I would have to press a button three times to get to the letter I wanted, with the Treo, I only have to press it once. The new Blackberry Pearl shared two letters for every button, better than your standard phone but not good enough for me. I will admit, the keypad is small, but I knew this before I purchased it, so I can't complain there.
When charging, I've had to remove the battery to restart my phone connection. Still working on this problem with my provider. Hasn't happened with the last charge, so maybe it's just a glitch.
Everything else, it's learn as you go.
Hope this helps
